Erickson's Tree Farm
Our tree farm is a small operation and have been in operation since 1961. You may choose and cut your own tree. We have firs, Norway and white spruce and a few blue spruce trees. We have a limited amount of trees due to our down sizing and over cutting the last few years. Saws are provided. No cutting trees less than 6ft. or any tree that has a tag or ribbon on. No trimming limbs off and left laying on the ground.
We will be receiving a load of beautiful, freshly cut and balled Fraser fir and Serbian spruce trees from Wending Creek Farms, Potter County on Dec. 11. These trees went very quickly last year and we decided to bring them in again this year.
We are located outside of Emporium on Hicks Run Rd. From Rt 120, turn onto Moore Hill Rd, at top of Moore Hill, turn right onto Hicks Run Rd and go .2 mile. Tree farm is located on the right.
Call ahead with any questions.

Heavy Equipment Appraisal
Nationwide heavy equipment appraisal professionals, specializing in construction equipment, farming equipment, forestry equipment, mining equipment, oil equipment, landscaping equipment, and many more.
If it's equipment, we appraise it!
? WHAT WE DO: Heavy equipment appraisers are the liaison between the heavy equipment industry and anyone that needs an equipment appraisal. Equipment sales aren't made public like Real Estate sales, so we're excellent fact finders who maintain vast sales databases and equipment professional networks.
? WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT: We're real people who can have a conversation with you, instead of trying to talk technical jargon. Our goal is to educate you about the appraisal process, whether in person, on the phone, via e-mail, or on our website. Check out our famous equipment appraisal 101 infographic.
? QUALIFICATIONS: Every appraiser at Heavy Equipment Appraisal grew up with equipment, so we know machinery inside and out. They are also certified, IRS qualified, and USPAP compliant.
? WHO WE WORK WITH: The simple answer? We provide equipment appraisals for anyone that needs one. Previous clients include Lenders, Small Business Owners, Consultants, Business Brokers, Mergers and Acquisitions Specialists, Turnaround Management Firms, Lawyers, CPAs, Government Officials, and many more.
? WHAT DO WE APPRAISE: We appraise most anything not Real Estate. Previous projects include Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment, Oil Field Equipment, Farming Equipment, Landscaping Equipment, Recycling Equipment, Asphalt Plants, Sand Processing Plants, and many more.
? SERVICES OFFERED:
1) Desktop Equipment Appraisal - A desktop appraisal is the perfect solution for anyone in search of a time or cost effective equipment appraisal. Also known as a limited scope appraisal, this is an appraisal report that is the result of valuating an item without physically inspecting that item.
2) On-Site Inspection Appraisal - An on-site equipment appraisal by Heavy Equipment Appraisal is the most accurate equipment appraisal money can buy. An on-site, or field appraisal, is the practice of valuating an item after having the chance to physically inspect that item.

On Sept. 22, 1734 they settled our family's first "New World" farm near Society Run in Frederick Township, Montgomery County, Pa. Pig farming was our family's specialty from 1734 until the mid 1950s. Arch Spring Farm Bed & Breakfast
Arch Spring Farm Bed & Breakfast consists of the "Manor House" and the "Mill House" and is located in Sinking Valley, near Spruce Creek, about 25 miles west of State College. There are two 19th century stone houses on the property. Each is rented as a complete unit (not by the room). The Manor House is more formal and sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms (3 queen, 1 full), 4 1/2 bathrooms, a working fireplace and central a/c. The Mill House is more rustic/country and sleeps 6 in 3 BR (1 queen, 1 full and pair of twin beds), 2 bathrooms, wood burner stove and 2 window a/c units. Both have serve-your-own continental breakfast provided; full modern kitchen is available for guest use.
Arch Spring Farm is a popular B&B destination for couples who are fans of Penn State football, friends who like to fly fish in the nearby trout streams, and family groups who enjoy the privacy of having a house furnished with antiques for reunions.
There are hiking trails in the mountains of the private property for use by B&B guests. A popular walk is to the natural bridge which gives Arch Spring its name. The yard around the Manor House has some interesting buildings: the "fort," an old ice house and a scale once used to weigh wagons of grain. Cross the footbridge behind the Mill House to see foundations left from the village of Arch Spring. Down the road are Amish families who sell fresh garden produce, flowers, chairs, baked goods and quilts. Amish buggies pass by the house from time to time; Canada geese and other birds drink from the stream behind the Mill House; deer may enter the crop fields at dusk. Ft. Roberdeau, a reconstructed Revolutionary War compound, is a few miles away, near the Sinking Valley Country Club. Spring Lane Hunt Club arranges a variety of game bird hunts. The Manor House has a DVD player, WiFi and satellite TV reception; the Mill House has a DVD player but no TV reception. No pets or smoking inside either house please.
Rentals are handled through StateCations B&B reservation service. Sharon will answer your questions regarding amenities, prices, directions, etc. She can even email you photos. Arch Spring Farm is the "village" of Arch Springs on a PennDOT highway map. Exit PA 453 to Kettle Rd. between Tyrone and Water Street. Some GPS maps show us on "Arch Spring Rd." but the street sign says "Kettle Rd." MapQuest is the most accurate map site to use for directions
