Indian Run Farm
We are about to enter our fifth season of operation in 2010 raising a variety of poultry. No herbicides or pesticides are used, nor is medicated feed. In season we have: Rhode Island Red Chicks; Heritage breed turkey poults of Red Bourbon, and Royal Palm; Khaki Campbell and Muscovy Ducklings; Toulouse Goslings; French Pearl Guinea Keets; and Cortunix quail chicks. Brown chicken eggs are available for sale as is fertile eggs for most of the breeds listed. In the fall, we have butchered young heritage breed turkeys and young geese, it is suggested you call in and reserve birds for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are hoping to make available limited numbers of young emu and peafowl in 2011.
Should you need large numbers of any breed it would be worthwhile to call in advance and place an order. Normally our price for young birds is very competitive and since we breed in relative small numbers we sell out of hatches quickly in the spring. A discount is offered for pickup of birds on the hatch date. In addition, we add 50 cents per week for birds past one week old. We do not ship birds and all items are available for pick up at the farm. No sexing of young birds is done.
During the spring, starter flower and vegetable bedding plants will be on sale. In season extra produce from the farm will be placed on sale at the stand. Turkey, Goose, Duck, and Chicken feathers will be available in the breeds listed above for craft work. We have blown (single small hole) untreated turkey, goose, chicken, and quail eggs in limited quantities for sale for craft and art work.

Locust Hill Farm
We specialize in premium quality fainting(myotonic)goats. Fainting goats are a Heritage Livestock Breed and are listed as a "threatened" domestic breed by the American Livestock Breed Conservancy (ALBC) meaning fewer than 100 annual registrations in the United States and an estimated global population less than 1,000. See ALBC's website for more information - www.albc-usa.org
Our herd is registered with the International Fainting Goat Association (IFGA) and the Myotonic Goat Registry (MGR). We offer several bloodlines ranging from smaller (near mini)framed animals ideal for pets to larger framed animals favored in meat production crossing. Coat colors range from the traditional "Tennessee Mountain Ghost" black and white to flashy tri-colors with unique colors popping up from time-to-time. Some of our breeding stock has blue-eyes. All of our stock is horned, however, all for gentle. Their docile and friendly nature make them excellent pets.Fainting goats are excellent mothers and normally do not require assistance when kidding and can kid every six months.
Although Fainting goats are classified as a meat variety we do not offer our stock for slaughter. We do sell bucks as herd sires for meat production to cross with other meat goat varieties such as Boer goats.
We also maintain a flock of standard Blue Wyandotte chickens. From time-to-time we offer hatching eggs, chicks and adult breeding trios and starter flocks for sell. The Wyandotte variety was developed in New York state over hundred years ago. It is a dual purpose breed capable of providing ample eggs and meat for a small farmstead.

Alpacaholic Acres
We welcome all farm visits - just please call to set up a visit (of course, they're always free)!
We are the proud owners of an alpaca farm located in York Springs, PA. Once we experienced being around alpacas, we became “addicted” thereby making the name of our farm easy – ALPACAHOLIC ACRES.
Once addicted, we sold our home and bought a 15-acre farm to begin our venture. The repairs began and the fence went up (ongoing!) until we had three secure acres.
We visited so many farms it was difficult to choose which alpacas we should bring home. We decided to start off with six alpacas (4 females and two males) and two llamas (a mother and baby).
Our farm is small and our animals get a lot of attention, making them extremely friendly and a pleasure to handle.
We are located only 20 miles south of Harrisburg, PA – the location of the annual Mid-Atlantic Alpaca Jubilee (MaPACA). We would enjoy having you stop by for a visit to meet our family.
We are also only 20 miles away from York, PA - the 2005 location of the PAOBA Breeders Showcase.

Burkholder's Ever-Green Farm, Inc.
Visit us in beautiful northern Lancaster County for our own asparagus, red raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, gooseberries, and other luscious produce. We also grow and sell fresh and dried lavender and herbs, and related gifts. In 2010 we'll be adding more of our own and other farm produce. Owners Dan and Margi Burkholder have both taught school and grown berries and other produce since the late 1970’s. Over the decades, our business changed from retail, pick-your-own, and wholesale, to just wholesale. Now with Margi’s retirement from teaching, we’re reentering the retail farm business with a new spacious building for our produce market and antique shop. We grow hundreds of lilies and other perennials and invite you to enjoy our gardens and antique farm equipment displays. We also board horses with eight stalls and three spacious pastures. Tammie Stark of Stockwell Stables manages the horses and specializes in thoroughbred race horses, lay-ups, and sales prep. Pleasure and retired horses welcome. Availability varies.
Our business name honors our farm's listings in local history books as "The Evergreen Farm". We do not sell evergreens, but hope to keep this property "Ever-Green". Our beautiful location has been in agriculture since the late 1700's and in the Burkholder family since 1924. Dan and Margi purchased the main farm homestead in 2002. Our motto, "Preserving History, Conserving the Land" reflects our commitment to bio-friendly practices, such as generating solar electricity, using geo-thermal heating and cooling, maintaining our creek frontage in the CREP program, and using as many organic practices as feasible. We have been working to preserve and restore our historic buildings. Our large antique shop is open and filled with local and Pennsylvania historical items and unique gifts. Inventory ranges from primitive farm to Victorian to vintage; woodenware, tools, stoneware, granite ware, bottles, fine glass and china, artwork, paper ephemera, furniture, and much more. Price ranges to suit all. Open as indicated by listed hours. Winter hours by chance or appointment.
Looking forward to a visit! God bless.
