    "A farming organization in Wisconsin is teaching children about agriculture in the classroom in the hopes of recruiting and retaining younger farmers. Sheila Everhart, the Rock County coordinator for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau's Ag in the Classroom program, tells The Janesville Gazette her goal is to educate kids about where their food comes from and introduce them to career opportunities in agriculture."

    "Dr Sagre Bambangi, a Deputy Minister-Designate for Agriculture has called for the structural transformation of the agricultural sector in order to make it attractive to the youth. He also called for the application of the appropriate technology in order to bring the cost of production down in the sector."

    "Naa Widaana-Nanga II, Paramount Chief of Takpo Traditional Area, has said the provision of farm machinery and extension officers are vital to the development of a community. The Paramount Chief said real modernization of agriculture should also include adequate agriculture extension officers to provide farmers with up-to-date extension services."
