Dillsburg Farmers' Market is proving to be a Saturday morning oasis for fresh produce, eggs, poultry, meat, milk, cheese and baked goods. Conveniently located at 117 N. Baltimore Street (near the post office and Dollar General Store), the site hosts a group of knowledgeable and reliable vendors showcasing a wide array of homegrown and homemade items, including apple butter, jams and jellies, salsas and sauces, mushrooms, honey, herbs, fresh-cut flowers, homemade soap and flowering annuals, vegetable plants, native and edible plants and nursery stock.
Several produce vendors accept FMNP and SFMNP vouchers. Look for the Dept. of Ag poster at their stands.
Special guests like master gardeners, etc. and programs are scheduled periodically through the season as well as children's activities.
The Dillsburg Farmers' Market is a partner member of York County "Buy Fresh, Buy Local" (www.buyfreshbuylocalyork.com). The market also promotes "Farm to School" info. and activities in cooperation with the local school district (Northern York Co.).
