We operate a CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, on our 25 acre farm. Once a week (during the pick up time they select) members come to pick up their weekly supply of fresh vegetables grown here on our farm. We grow our food as sustainably as we can. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. We use green manure, crop rotation and companion planting to try to reduce our need for fertilizers and pesticides. We support local agriculture and local production of other goods as well. We try to live efficiently, grow food efficiently, and enable others to lessen their carbon footprint on our planet.
We strive to teach our community about nature and seasonal eating by hosting workshops. We host drumming circles once a month during clement weather to unite our community. We are trying to make a haven for learning, growing, and relaxing within the hustle and bustle of the Mechanicsburg area.
We are working on installing a pick-your-own herb garden and a pick-your-own flower garden for members. Each week we try to include recipes that give you some ideas of how to use the seasonal items in that week's pick-up.
We have shares available for purchase. Contact us for more info.
