FALL FESTVAL- Oct 1-3, 2010! Wagon rides, pony rides, Saturday Pig Roast, homemade apple fritters, PYO apples and pumpkins, bounce house, face painting, mums, scarecrows, and much more.
BONFIRE/HAYRIDE:Take a wagon ride into the orchard to a roaring campfire. Sit around the fire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows followed by fresh apple cider. We provide the hot dogs, marshmallows, roasting sticks, cider and everything you need. This is a great fall activity for any group. Reservations are required. Minimum group size is fifteen so gather some family and friends for a great evening of fun. The cost is $6.00 per person.
CORN MAZE- Adventure into a 6 acre maze to find all 13 punch stations. Your reward is a small ice cream or can of soft drink.
BAKERY- Sycamore Spring Orchard is known for great, fresh apple dumplings.
We made over 20,000 apple dumplings last year and are on track for more this year. Along with the apple dumplings, we make a large selection of pies including, apple, peach, raspberry, pecan, shoofly, and pumpkin. Cakes and cookies, especially the all-butter sand tarts are very popular. Homemade Jams, jellies, apple butter, soups and pierogies are some other products made in our kitchen. Orders are always welcome! Apple dumpling fund Raisers are available.
FARM MARKET- Our farm market is open year round and houses our gift store, packaging area, greenhouse and bakery. In our farm store we have numerous items including hand-dipped Hershey's ice cream, bulk foods, organic foods, seasonal gifts, tart cherry juice, Asai juice, Goji Juice, local produce (in season) and many different candies. We accept the Farmer's Market Nutrtion Program Checks. We also offer custom Gift Baskets and Fruit Baskets.
GREENHOUSE- Our greenhouse is open spring- fall with bedding plants, hanging baskets, pots, and other garden essentials. During the Christmas season we have Christmas trees, wreaths, and roping.
SCHOOL TOURS- We offer school tours to all children. The children ride a (safe and clean) wagon ride through our apple orchard. Each child picks an apple to take home. After the ride they return to our market to learn how the apples are sorted, polished, and packed for sale. All enjoy fresh apple cider and children receive a gift bag with an educational coloring book to take home.
CORN MAZE- Plan on spending a cool Autumn day in our 6 Acre corn maze. If you find all 6 punch stations, you get a small ice cream or soda.
