The Pennsylvania Meat Goat Producers Association, Inc. (PMGPA)was founded to advance the meat goat industry in the Keystone State through education and promotion.
The organization's goals include promoting meat goats as a viable source of long term, stable income in agricultural operations, encouraging meat goats as a recognized classes in 4-H and FFA livestock shows, to support, maintain and improve the meat goat industry and to provide PMGPA members with information to help them successfully breed and raise and market quality meat goats.

Curried Chevon on Skewer with Oven-Dried Tomatoes and Tzatziki Drizzle showed up on the buffet table at the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture's Harvest Celebration Dinner held at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts and Hilton in Harrisburg. The meat was donated by PMGPA members. Over two hundred people attended the event.
PMGPA spoke at the Pennsylvania Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Festival - An introduction to meat goat production and how farmers can integrate meat goats into existing agricultural operations to generate more income and decrease the use of herbicides.
