Mid Atlantic Native Plant nursery is a grower of northeast native plants with a focus on native plants of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed geographic region. We grow and sell only those native plants that were existing in North America prior to European settlement. The native plants we grow are indigenous to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed regional states including native plants of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New York, West Virginia, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Native trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses and herbaceous wetland plants are listed for sale in a manner that helps you determine which plants naturally occur in your geographic area of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Many native plants that naturally occurred in one state may be native to many! We offer this detail as a means for you to get as specific as you would like. For example, if you're interested in native trees of Maryland or native shrubs of Pennsylvania, the native tree list and native shrub list will identify that criteria.
If you're looking for native plant garden groups, our "Collections" assortment has done the work for you. Each collection offers northeast and mid Atlantic native plant groupings for specific needs and wants such as native plants that berry and offer fruit for birds and wildlife, those that have fragrant flowers and are a nectar source for hummingbirds, native grasses for wetland restoration, erosion control and many more.
The native plants we grow are nursery propogated from seed, cuttings and division of "parent" plants located on our nursery. We believe very strongly in what we do, we hope you'll find exactly what you need.
