Our new CSA is a joint venture between Wynnorr Farm and a group of Amish family farms in Lancaster County. The Stratton Family of Wynnorr Farm has been raising sweet corn and other fresh produce for 4 generations.
For our first CSA season we are offering a 15 week subscription beginning in late June and continuing until late September. Each week we plan to include an average of eight different items for each member share. Seasonal Produce will include more than 2 dozen types of produce. Not all items will be included each week. Whenever possible, produce will be grown using naturally grown or organic methods.
We will also occasionally include specialty items such as homemade mustard, jams, cut flowers and baked goods. In addition, subscribers will have first choice to purchase, at an additional cost, free range eggs, chickens and Thanksgiving turkeys. At this time we are not offering "pick your own” produce. You will also have the opportunity to meet the farmers and their families during the season.
The cost for this season is $375 paid in advance. Memberships are limited to 50 families and are only available on a first come first served basis. By joining now, your family receives a summer of fresh local produce at a guaranteed low price. Plans are underway for an additional fall season (October and November) that will be offered to summer members.
Our first season will include 15 weeks of produce with approximately 6-10 items each week. Vacation weeks or missed pick ups will not be refunded. Shares are non transferable and are limited to 1 family (3-4 people) per share. Membership Card or Photo ID must be presented to pick up your weekly share. Your once weekly pick up will be at Wynnorr Farm. If you are on vacation, you may send someone (with your membership card) to pick up your share.
