We are a family based farm market started in 1938 by Howard Orton. Lewis Orton, the current owner is Howard's son and is now being assisted by his son, Mike Orton. Mike put in a green house 2 years ago and starts growing hot house tomatoes and peppers for early consumption. We sell bedding plants and fruit trees in the spring and add fresh fruits and vegetables as they become available. We have cantaloupes and watermelons, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, lettuce, cucumbers, pickles,ruhbarb, bananas, pears oranges,pineapples, kiwis, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, green and yellow beans, peas,pumpkins, summer and winter squash, Apple Cider, grape juice, cherry juice, etc. We have a wide variety of apples. Icluding Fortune, Honeycrisp,Cortland, Northern Spy, McIntosh,Ida Red, Crispin, Red and Yellow Delicious, Rome, Empire, Winesap,Gala, Red Fuji, Cameo, Ginger Gold, Granny Smith, Gravenstein, Jonagold, Lodi, Macoun. We start grape season with Fredonia blue grapes. We also have Niagara and Caco (red) Grapes, and finish with the Concord Grape. We have a wide variety of McCuthceon's jam and jellies and we sell maple syrup and maple candies from Greg Walberg. We have honey from local aparies and Goat Milk fudge from Kim's Fudge. We also have a selections of New York State cheeses including the white cheddar cheese. We will slice it to whatever thickness you prefer. We also do Harvest Baskets as well as Fruit Baskets. The Harvest Baskets have been a big hit with the children at our North East Lanes where they originated. At Thanksgiving we make a basket loaded with produce from the harvest: potatoes, onions, carrots, squash, cider, pears, apples anything we can think of and topped off with Concord grapes if possible! It makes a beautiful basket. We make fruit basket or speciality baskets. We will put in Giannos Chocolate Candy, cheddar cheese, Welch Sparkling Juice, crackers or all fruit if you prefer. We make them to order. Delivery for fruit baskets is also available within our local area. You will also find a small line of grocery items in our store, things you may need in your travels. We also carry some post cards from the Erie area so you can write home. We also do wholesale sales for all the produce items we sell.
