About Us:
Woodsong Hollow is nestled high in the forested Oley Hills in eastern Berks County, PA. We raise pastured poultry, lamb, goats and from time to time we have a hog or two. The meat is really tender and delicious, and our customers tell us that our eggs are the best they have tasted!
Our livestock are all on pasture with lots of green forage and the poultry also enjoy the yummy (to them!) bugs that provides. Our poultry and hogs receive supplemental feed that is grown by a local farmer without pesticides and herbicides.
Eggs are available by subscription as well as single purchase. We have frozen chicken year round and fresh seasonally in the spring and fall. Turkeys are can be ordered for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we have heritage turkeys as well as the commercial broad breasted white variety. Lamb, goat and pork is available as retail cuts, or you can order a half or a whole and have it butchered to your specifications.
Our products are available for pick up at the farm by appointment. We also have a monthly farmers market at the farm from November through May, and we attend the following Farmers Markets: Boyertown, 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of the month, June through October, 10am - 1pm; Macungie, Thursdays, June through September, 4pm - 7pm.
Laying Hens: Would you like to collect fresh eggs each morning from your own chickens? We have heritage beed pullets in the spring and early summer. We also sometimes have some regular commercial brown egg layers available. These birds are all pasture raised and have received the our naturally grown feed from birth. Some are very tame and friendly and would make great pets for anyone wanting a couple of backyard chickens. Retired layers also available as pets for those less interested in full scale egg production!, and we have chicks for rental or adoption for Easter, birthdays, and other events.
