Boyer Nurseries and Orchards, Inc. has been a family owned and operated business since 1900, when W.W. Boyer recognized the need for a distributor of quality fruit trees for regional growers. Since those early days, the nursery has grown to include a garden center which provides the homeowner with a wide selection of shrubs, evergreens, flowering plants, shade trees and small fruits.
Our Garden Center houses a complete line of fertilizers, reference books, statuary, nursery and orchard supplies, as well as unusual quality gardening implements thus enabling the customer to purchase everything they need in one visit! Boyer Nurseries & Orchards, Inc. is unique in this area in that the customer has the option of purchasing nursery stock either balled and burlapped, in containers, or bareroot at substantial savings.
Stop by the market in mid-June to pick your own cherries and late-June to early-July for blueberries. Later in the season, you'll be able to pick your own apples. Our fresh fruit market also offers apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, pears, heirloom apples, vegetables, melons, jams, jellies, baked goods, honey and Rowe pottery.
Boyer Nurseries & Orchards participates in a number of local Farmers' Markets, from May to October. Friday's Farm Fresh Market is held at the Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg, Fridays, through October. Hours are: 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At Christmas time, we offer fresh cut holly, greens and live Christmas trees to add those seasonal touches to your home. Other gift ideas include, Boyer gift certificates, statuary, & our own Boyer Cookbook. Or you can choose to send an apple or jam gift pack, as well as custom made citrus and apple gift baskets in several sizes.
