We are a 3rd generation sawmill family. The current site was established in 1964. Our grandfather started sawmilling in 1946. We employ approx. 250 people between our Log Home and Lumber business. We process approx. 16 million ft. of lumber on an annual basis. Kuhns bros. purchases its timber from private landowners within a 120 mile radius of Lewisburg. One of the advantages of selling timber to Kuhns Bros. is our ability to use all species of wood both hardwoods and softwoods. Hardwoods and softwoods are kiln dried and sold rough or surfaced. Over 3,000 trailer loads of landscape mulch are produced from our mills and sold into Pa. and its surrounding states. Our sister company Kuhns Bros. Log Homes ships approx. 350-400 homes annually of mostly White Pine and Hemlock to most parts of the U.S. and abroad. We are members of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, National Hardwood Lumber Association, Pa. Nurserymans Association and many others.
