About Us:
Prescott's Patch is a three acre organic(non-certified) farm located along the Susquehanna River just upstream from the village of Bainbridge(Lancaster county). We also farm 2 acres at our home in Hellam Township, York County. The Lancaster County farm has been in the Prescott family for four generations. We grow strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, melons and a wide variety of vegetables. We also grow over ten varieties of heirloom tomatoes. We do not use any chemical sprays or fertilizers. Our main goal is to grow healthy food in an environmentally friendly manner.
Prescott's Patch operates a CSA and also sells produce at the Pomfret Street Farmer's Market in Carlisle and at the Mount Joy Farmer's Market. Both these markets are open on Saturday from 8am-12noon from mid-May through October. The cost of a CSA membership for 2009 is $495. The season starts in mid-May and runs through October.
