Pennsylvania Migrant Education is a State and Federal education program administered through the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

This Federal and Statewide program serves qualified migrant farm workers and their families with educational support services.
-Partnering with Statewide School Districts to enhance support for Migrant Children.
-Help Parents familarize themselves with the educational system.
-Follow a students progress and target students educational needs. Connect parents and schools with appropriate services.
-After-School programs to help students improve in weak subject areas.
-Offer a summer school program to help students stay on course with current school district standards for passage to the next grade level and to stregthen the students learning skills. Keeps kids safe and busy during the summer months.

-Help families communicate with school personnel.
-Accompany families to parent teacher conferences. Provide transportation services when available.
-Offer workshops that foster a parents participation in their childs education.
-Help high school dropouts and emancipated youth (age 22 and under) complete secondary education and get a GED.
-Pre-school learning to prepare 3-4 year olds for entry into kindergarten. The program also offers language support to qualified children.
-Make referrals to other programs.

The program is offered as a partnership to agriculture employers of agriculture workers and qualified allied food processing enterprises.
There is no cost for the program, and employers are encouraged to offer the education package as a benefit to migrant worker employees.
