AgMap: Promoting America's Agriculture

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - Penn State's interactive World Wide Web site, AgMap,, now has a new, advanced, and easy-to-use search capability. Designed to help consumers, farmers, and businesses find producers of commodities and services, AgMap has become a reliable and direct-marketing tool worldwide.

New enhancements soon to be added to the site include a link to Penn States’ educational materials about agricultural products, and free job announcement postings for any enrolled businesses. Potential applicants will be provided contact information and can search the job opportunity database based on job characteristics.

AgMap continues to provide the same free enrollment, a secure log-in to add, edit, and update your business information, on-line mapping of your business location, unlimited ways to classify your business and make your business stand out among other businesses, worldwide visibility of your products and services, a network communication among agricultural businesses in Pennsylvania in case of plant or animal disease, drought conditions, etc., and market analysis determining location of competitors and voids in services where new businesses might be successful.

AgMap will once again be at Ag Progress Days, providing an opportunity for businesses to enroll on the site.
